The High School Outreach Program is in the early stages of its conception. The goals of this program are as follows:

  • To link high school students to less privileged students in India, thereby increasing students' awareness and sense of social responsibility . High school students from the Bay Area would be encouraged to maintain communication with their Indian counterparts over a minimum time period, creating strong bonds between the American and Indian students

  • To involve high students in raising funds for FFE scholars. The students would raise funds through car washes, walk-a-thons, small contributions, etc. The money/goods would be sent to the selected FFE scholars to fund their education

  • To set up the program in Bay Area high schools so that it would allow the student volunteers to be recognized for their Community Service and get credit for the number of hours spent in this Community Service
