The
Indian Organizations Program is geared towards promoting awareness
about FFE among a variety of local/national Indian organizations,
such as –
- Regional
Organizations like the, Telegu Association, Rajasthan Association
of North America, Maharashtra Mandal, and several others
- Cultural
Organizations like music/dance/drama/fitness academies,
- Professional
organizations such as AAPI, Net IP
- Social
institutions like Maitri, Narika and others,
- Religious/Spiritual
organizations like the Hindu temple, Jain temple, Chinmaya
Mission, etc.
The
program will focus on:
- establishing
and maintaining a relationship between FFE and the leadership
of such organizations
- promoting
FFE among the membership (by setting up FFE information
booths at key organization events through the year, for
example, or inviting attendees to sign up for a mailing
list, etc.)
- working
to secure sponsorships, including those which match sponsor
with sponsored based on a shared background/interest, etc.
– For example, a member of the Oriya Association can
sponsor a needy Oriya student in India; or a musician in
the US to help a student in India with whom he/she shares
an interest in music
